Its so important to build up your confidence and to self brand yourself. After all you are an individual entity yourself and if you are an entrepreneur like myself you want people and opportunities to be readily available and to essentially come to you. For me one of the best ways to personal brand myself is by being a speaker, I have been a speaker at many events around the world from World Education Summits to Women in Entrepreneurship Events and in CFO and Executive C-Suite Summits.
The key equipment to take with you is your laptop, I’m a windows girl myself so I invested in a heavy duty ThinkPad from lenova which i find so light weight as its a yoga, flexible and super friendly.

| Intel Core i5-6300U 2.40 – 3 Dual-core Processor

The next most important item to have is a presentation pointer. This soon becomes your best friend, you need to understand the point as you tend not to look at the screen as it is behind. Your pointer does everything for you to grab the audiences attention each time. I initially invested in a light weight Logitech Wireless Presenter R400, Wireless Presentation Remote Clicker with Laser Pointer that turned the slides and had the Red laser, but after 2 presentations when I knew I would I enjoyed speaking I invested in a heavy duty one that had all the modern features including the amazing Spotlight that reminds you when it’s time to wrap up. The pointer vibrates five minutes before the end of your presentation and again when your time is fully up Red laser, Blue tooth and had a 30m range. This way I could step in and engage with my audience and show myself as a powerful lady speaker. Its sleek and sophisticated when in the hand.
Make sure you wear comfortable shoes especially if you are going to step down in to the audience, a nice corporate dress and remember to take the badge necklace off. There is nothing worse then pictures and videos of you speaking and you have the necklace round the neck.
You need to take part in a contest for one of the best
blogs on the internet. I’m going to highly recommend this website!
